Alyssa Poon, age 17, is from Ipoh, Malaysia. She started her musical journey at the age of four. In 2022, she obtained distinction in the Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) Performance Diploma. She has participated in numerous competitions. Her achievements include winning the Most Promising Pianist and First Prize Winner in 2021 Euroasia Piano Competition, Grand Prix and Gold (Intermediate Category) in the Southeast Asia Piano Competition 2021; Second Prize (Piano Solo Group J) and Chopin Ballade Award in the Chopin Avenue Piano Competition Autumn 2021; Gold Prize (Age 16-17 Category) in the 1st Atrium Piano Competition and Festival 2021 Malaysia; and Second Place in the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition 2019. She has performed at the Winners Recital at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2019 and Overseas Masters Winter Piano Academy Gala Concert at The Menuhin Hall in the United Kingdom in 2018.
