The Euroasia Youth Music Festival welcomes participants of all nationalities and is open to three divisions – Piano, Strings and Guitar.
2026 Competition Format
Piano & Strings Division
- All categories from the piano and strings division have two rounds: Preliminary and Final Round. For the Preliminary Round, participants can choose to perform live, at any one of the local regional rounds, or to submit a video recording for online assessment.
Guitar Division
- Guitar division is open for the Live Preliminary Round ONLY.
Piano & Strings Division
Solo Performance
Performance Requirements
The Solo Performance Category is open to participants of all ages – there is no lower or upper age limit.
- Initial – Grade 8 Divisions: ONE piece (only) from the ABRSM or Trinity College London Syllabus.
- Diploma Division: A balanced programme including at least two contrasting works from two different composers, not exceeding 15 minutes.

Piano Four Hands and String Duets/Duos**
Divisions and Age Groups*
- Junior Division
Sum of ages 24 and below. - Open Division
No age limit.
*The participant’s age is determined by the year of birth, regardless of month.
Performance Requirements
- A balanced programme consisting of at least two contrasting works, not exceeding 5 minutes (Junior Division) and 8 minutes (Open Division).
** NOTE: Piano accompaniment is not allowed in the Strings Duet Category.

Guitar Division
Solo Performance
The Guitar Division welcomes participants of all nationalities and accepts applications in the following age groups. The participant’s age group is determined by the Year of Birth.
Division, Age Groups & Performance Requirements
Junior Division
- Ages 13 and Below (born in or after 2013)
- Free choice of one complete piece and not exceeding 3 mins.
Youth DIvision
- Ages 17 and Below (Born in or after 2009)
- Free choice of one complete piece and not exceeding 5 mins.
Open Division
- Ages 18 and Above (Born in or before 2008)
- Free choice of one complete piece and not exceeding 8 mins.
Ensemble Category
The Ensemble Category is designed to promote collaborative musicianship, inspiring young performers to hone their ensemble skills, musical awareness, and teamwork. It provides an opportunity to experience the joy of making music together while nurturing vital artistic and interpersonal development.
Open for Guitar Division (no piano accompaniment is allowed) with minimum of 3 and maximum of 8 players.
Performance Requirement
Two contrasting pieces not exceeding 10 minutes inclusive of break in between items.
Duet Category
