Hannah Lee Hui Bin

Hannah Lee Hui Bin started playing the violin at 3 and made her first public performance as a soloist at 5. She was a first prize winner for Euroasia Strings Competition Open Category from 2016 to 2019.

In 2019 she was awarded Gold in The International Liszt Ferenc Competition Malaysia Preliminary Round. In the same year she was also awarded the Best Performer’s Award in the 20th Osaka International Music Competition Malaysia Region round. Besides local competitions, Hannah is also experienced in international competitions such as the Singapore Raffles International Music Festival,
where she was awarded the Bronze medal in 2016 and Silver medal in 2021.

In March of 2020, Hannah was a finalist in The International Arthur Grumiaux Competition for Young Violinists held in
Brussels, Belgium. Hannah Lee has also participated in the Singapore Violin Festival 2021 online edition. In January 2022, she was a joint first place winner for the Selangor Symphony Orchestra 1st National Concerto Competition and will be performing with SSO in their 2022/2023 season concerts.

She has appeared as a guest performer in All About Love Concert 2016, a benefit recital for the Breast Cancer Welfare Association. She has also performed in aid of MareCet’s marine conservation cause in 2018, organised by ARS NOVA Music Centre. She was invited to perform in Surabaya, Indonesia in 2018. Hannah Lee gave her first solo recital in 2020. She has attended masterclasses by Martin Beaver, Qian Zhou, Ryu Goto, Lee Chun-Hsin, Vincent Chao and Gayana Hakobyan.

Currently, she is a member of SSYO(Selangor Symphony Youth Orchestra) and learning violin under the tutelage of Ion Mazur and Su Tzu-Yuan
